Well bitches appear to be like buses, Jozi (Ch Barbelka Eliksyr) was two months late coming in season and her daughter Lexi (Ch Barbelka Iskra JW) came in on time only 3 days later!!!!
They visited with my choices of husbands for them, both Norwegians, one Imported and the other in Finland.

Glad that the importation by friends of VÆSJAN’S MARTELL from Norway finally happened on 6th July, and that Jozi approved of him.
The Vet confirmed them both in whelp.
This meant two litters born a few days apart just before Christmas, Lord help me, never again!!!!
Pups are now all in their new homes and I look forward to news of their doings and photos to share, as well as seeing those to be shown in the ring later in the year.

At the International Dog Show Dublin on Sunday the 5th of August 2007 BARBELKA LILA won the following:
Best Puppy in Breed, Best Puppy in Group, and finally Res. Best Puppy in Show.

In 2008 she was Best In Show (beating her half brother Irish Ch BARBELKA KALIBER) at the Norwegian Elkhound Society of Ireland Club Championship show, showing her winning Best bitch and then BIS, in 2009 her half brother turned the tables and was again Best in Show with her Reserve Best in Show (see ‘K’ litter page).
